In a shocking incident, a law student opened fire on his classmate in a college classroom in Punjab’s Tarn Taran district, leaving her critically injured. The culprit, who was reportedly identified as Prince Raj, a resident of Maliana village in Jalandhar district, shot himself after committing the crime. According to media reports, the incident occurred at LA College, Tarn Taran, where a first-year law student, identified as Sadipta Kaur, was shot by her classmate, who was later identified as Prince Raj. The police said that CCTV footage showed Raj entering the classroom around 9:15 am and approaching Sadipta, who was sitting on a bench. After a brief conversation, Raj allegedly shot Sadipta in the head and then shot himself.
The police have launched an investigation into the incident and have identified the victims as Sadipta Kaur and Prince Raj. Sadipta’s condition is said to be stable, and she is receiving medical treatment at a local hospital. Prince Raj is also receiving treatment at the hospital, but his condition is critical.
The police have not yet ascertained the motive behind the shooting, and the incident is being investigated. The LA College, Tarn Taran, has suspended classes until further notice, and the police have taken statements from witnesses and students.
