Pakistan’s Anti-Terrorism Court has issued a non-bailable warrant against the sister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) co-founder, Alima Khan, for her failure to appear in court. The court hearing was held on November 26, during which Alima Khan and her lawyer failed to appear in court.
The court issued a notice to Alima Khan’s surety and adjourned the hearing until the next day, stating that Alima Khan’s absence had no justification or excuse. Meanwhile, the court allowed the inclusion of National Counter Terrorism Authority’s (NACTA) Salman Rehman as a witness during the hearing.
The ATC adjourned the hearing until the next day, further delaying the trial against Alima Khan. In a separate development, the Pakistan Air Force conducted a grand military exercise in the southern zone, dubbed “Golden Eagle.”
PTI leader Salman Akram Raja claimed that a PTI leader, Salman Safdar, had met with PTI founder Imran Khan, and was quoted as saying, “I won’t say anything.” Alima Khan countered that they only learned of the meeting when it was over.
