Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced an extension of the Baisakhi celebrations timeframe. According to a statement issued by the CM, the Baisakhi celebrations will now conclude by 5:00 am the next morning. Maryam Nawaz expressed her satisfaction on this development, stating that the extension is a reward for the people of Lahore, who observed Baisakhi in a well-disciplined manner. She urged the public to celebrate the festival safely and avoid power lines, ensure the security of their rooftops, and comply with all instructions.
The concept of Safe Baisakhi will be replicated in other cities after Lahore, said Maryam Nawaz. The CM appealed to the people to make this historic Baisakhi a joyous, safe, and memorable experience for everyone. In her statement, Maryam Nawaz said that the people should see the joy, unity, and festivities that have returned after 25 years. Baisakhi celebrations were held in grandeur in Punjab and across Pakistan. It is worth mentioning that Lahore is celebrating a three-day Baisakhi festival after a 25-year hiatus.
