Pune, India – In a shocking incident, a prominent businessman and owner of a popular bakery in Maharashtra’s city of Solapur, 60-year-old Sunil Motilal Sodarangani, took his own life by jumping from the 17th floor of a residential building in Pune. According to police officials, Sodarangani was seen praying before taking the leap, as observed by eyewitnesses.
Before his apparent suicide, Sodarangani arrived at the building and instead of using the elevator, climbed up the stairs to the 17th floor. Residents reported seeing him stand on the rooftop, hands clasped together, and praying. When they informed the security personnel, they were immediately notified and responded promptly. However, Sodarangani managed to convince the security guard that he had left his keys on the rooftop and was allowed to go back up. Once he reached the 17th floor again, he jumped, resulting in his immediate death.
Police arrived at the scene and shifted the body to the hospital, registering a case of accidental death. The actual reason behind Sodarangani’s suicide remains unclear, and no suicide note was found.
