Pakistan’s Senior Provincial Minister, Maimoona Hashmi, welcomed a delegation of D-8 countries to Panchkula House, Punjab. The delegation comprised of representatives from Bangladesh, Egypt, Iran, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nigeria, Turkey, and Azerbaijan. The D-8 envoys appreciated Punjab’s cultural heritage and efforts to preserve and promote cultural assets.
The visiting delegation was briefed about the cultural and historical significance of various sites they visited, including Wagah Border, Shalimar Gardens, Mazar-e-Qasim, Badshahi Mosque, Hazuri Bagh, and the Royal Fort. During the visit, the envoys expressed interest in various sectors and future plans.
The cultural exchange visit culminated in a mutual expression of goodwill and the strengthening of friendly relations between the D-8 countries. Meanwhile, a severe dust storm and scattered rain showers are expected in Karachi.
