Karachi’s Housing Society Phases 8 witnessed a shocking incident where a man was arrested for allegedly running obscene videos on a digital advertisement screen installed along Union Street. According to police, the accused is an employee of the advertising company, and the case was registered at the local police station the previous day. The Karachi National Cybercrime Investigation Agency (KNCA) received a complaint from the company’s operations director, stating that the screen installed in Phase 8 was continuously playing obscene video clips.
As soon as they received the complaint, the authorities immediately shut down the screen. It is worth noting that the previous day, unknown individuals hacked into the digital advertisement screens installed on Union Street and broadcast indecent content for a short period.
In response to the devastating blasts in Islamabad, Minister of Defense Khawaja Muhammad Asif stated that the bomber was a Pakistani citizen. Rescue officials reported that four fire brigade vehicles are involved in extinguishing the fire, as the factory produces plastic products.
The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) raised the electricity price by 28 rupees per unit in December as part of the fuel price adjustment. Minister of Defense Khawaja Muhammad Asif stated that the bomber had detonated his explosives in the last row of the praying crowd, insha’Allah, the state will respond to this brutal act with full force. Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, stated that his family has made significant sacrifices for democracy and that differences based on color, creed, or religion must be eliminated.
PTI leader Imran Khan was diagnosed with a central retinal vein occlusion in his right eye, and medical experts recommended follow-up treatment in a hospital. Khan was shifted to a private hospital in Lahore and is undergoing treatment with his consent.
Senior Punjab Minister, Maryam Aurangzeb, emphasized that it is the responsibility of every citizen, youth, and parent to follow the law and ensure their own and others’ safety.
