Punjab’s Information Minister, Azma Bokhari, has expressed her delight over the cultural decisions made by Maryam Nawaz, stating that they have won the hearts of the masses. According to her, the people of Lahore have demonstrated their vibrant spirit by celebrating Basant, and the city is now filled with color and joy. Overseas and foreign nationals have also joined in to celebrate Basant, and the skies of Lahore are painted with the vibrant colors of this festive season.
In her appeal to the public, Azma Bokhari urged people to celebrate Basant safely and to ensure the safety of others around them. She also requested that motorcyclists refrain from riding on the roads without safety gear and instead opt for free public transportation.
Punjab’s Information Minister also revealed that the police and district administration teams are working tirelessly to enforce the SOPs in place for Basant celebrations. She added that people are being encouraged to use drones and toy rockets that conform to the set guidelines, and those violating these rules will be held accountable.
Azma Bokhari further stated that the supply of Basant-related items has increased, resulting in a significant decrease in their prices. She expected that the prices of drones and toy rockets would decrease further as more supplies arrive.
In related news, the Rescue Team has reported that four fire brigade vehicles are working to put out fires at a plastic factory in the city. The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has increased the price of fuel in December, making electricity 28 rupees more expensive per unit.
Former Pakistani cricketer, Shahid Afridi, expressed his disappointment over the recent terrorist attack in Islamabad, stating that it is unacceptable to ignore such incidents. He questioned the effectiveness of merely criticizing and tweeting about the situation, while the wave of terrorism continues to intensify.
Meanwhile, several prominent figures, including Alama Sadiq Jafari and Alama Mubasher Hassan, attended a protest rally at Chourangi Chowk to condemn the terrorist attack in Islamabad.
In response to the attack, Punjab Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz, announced that she would be canceling all her Basant-related activities. Interior Minister, Mohsin Nawaz, returned from Dubai and visited the Imam Bargah in Islamabad to pay his respects to the victims of the attack.
The Sindh government also canceled its cultural night music program in solidarity with the victims of the attack.
Pakistan’s ambassador to Norway, Asif Ali Zardari, expressed his solidarity with the people of Kashmir on the occasion of Youm-i-Yakjehti Kashmir. He stated that Pakistan would continue to stand by its Kashmiri brothers and sisters.
In related developments, a special ceremony was held at the Pakistani embassy in Vienna to mark Youm-i-Yakjehti Kashmir. The event was attended by Pakistani officials and other dignitaries, who reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the people of Kashmir.
Inspector General of Police (IGP), Islamabad, Alama Basharat Hussain Ammami, revealed that the IG’s cousin was among the victims of the terrorist attack.
Government sources have confirmed that the terrorist attacker had received training in Afghanistan and had traveled to the country multiple times.
On the occasion of Youm-i-Yakjehti Kashmir, the Pakistani embassy in Norway organized a panel discussion, which was chaired by Norway’s former Deputy Speaker, Akhtar Chaudhry.
In a separate development, Punjab Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz, announced that she would be increasing the staff at blood banks and ensuring a steady supply of blood to hospitals. She also stated that operation theaters were fully prepared to handle any emergencies.
Defense Minister, Khawaja Asif, revealed that the terrorist attacker was a Pakistani national. Government sources have also confirmed that the attacker had received training in Afghanistan and had traveled to the country multiple times.

The cause of the terrorist attack is yet to be determined, and no suicide note has been recovered.
