In a statement, team owner Thamin Rana revealed that Wiese’s decision to step back was inevitable due to his packed schedule. Despite this setback, Wiese expressed his gratitude towards the Lahore Qalandars family, calling the PSL a high-reputation league.
As per Wiese, being a part of the Lahore Qalandars is not about playing cricket, but rather being part of a family. The cricketer further stated that he is eagerly looking forward to rejoining the team in the future and contributing to their success.
