The Sindh High Court has named Justice Agha Faizal to lead the judicial inquiry into the tragic incident at the Gul Plaza. In response to a letter from the provincial government, the Chief Justice of Sindh High Court has revealed plans for a judicial commission headed by Justice Agha Faizal to investigate the cause of the tragic incident and the fire that broke out.
According to the letter, the duration of the judicial inquiry will be determined by the Sindh government. The government had written to the Chief Justice of Sindh High Court on January 29, seeking a judicial inquiry into the tragic incident. The incident has been described as a significant event in regional relations, with countries such as Uzbekistan and Afghanistan agreeing to strengthen cooperation in energy, defense, tourism, and education.
Opposition leader Mian Mehmoodur Rashid has expressed his disappointment with the government’s social media handling, stating that it is humiliating for the party.
