Pakistan Railways has announced the cancellation of train services from Quetta to within the country and Chaman due to ongoing protests and security concerns. The Bolan Mail train will remain suspended until February 12, and train services from Quetta to within the country and Chaman will be halted for the third consecutive day. According to railway officials, the suspension of train services from Balochistan to within the country and Chaman has resulted in losses of over 30 million rupees so far.
Meanwhile, the National Highway linking Punjab to Balochistan and the Quetta-Taftan National Highway have been closed for the past five days. President Arif Alvi has called India’s illegal occupation of Kashmir a serious challenge to the world’s conscience.
