In a letter to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the leader of the opposition in the National Assembly, Maulana Mahmood Khan Achakzai, has requested a comprehensive medical checkup for PTI founder Imran Khan at Adiala Jail, conducted by his personal doctors. In the letter, it is stated that Imran Khan’s health is a basic human right, and his medical checkup should be conducted by doctors from Shaukat Khanum and Shifa hospitals. The opposition leader in the National Assembly has also suggested the names of Imran Khan’s personal doctors, including Dr. Asim Yusuf, Dr. Muzahar Asghar, and Dr. Aamer Awan.
During a Senate session, Senator Raja Nisar Abbas said that Imran Khan’s rights are being violated, both as a citizen and as a prisoner. It is worth noting that earlier reports suggested that Imran Khan had been diagnosed with a serious eye disease, known as Central Retinal Vein Occlusion (CRVO), which is usually found in elderly individuals and is associated with high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases. According to eye experts, CRVO occurs when the central retinal vein, which carries blood away from the retina, becomes blocked, often due to a blood clot.
Meanwhile, in a meeting with the Prime Minister, Kashmiri leader Sardar Shahid Sajid Mir reiterated the support of the Kashmiri people for their brothers in the struggle for freedom from Indian oppression. The meeting also discussed issues of interfaith harmony and religious tolerance.

In a significant development, the railways ministry has decided to restore two train services – the Jaffar Express from Quetta to Peshawar and the Chaman Passenger Train from Quetta to Chaman – with effect from today. The trains will operate as per their scheduled times.
