The Sindh government has launched a special Moenjodaro Train Tour to promote cultural tourism and highlight the historical heritage of the province. The train, which departed from Karachi yesterday, carried around 100 tourists, including women, who visited the historic sites of Moenjodaro. The train’s guides from the Sindh Department of Tourism and Culture provided a briefing to the tourists on the historical significance of the sites.
The tourists showed great interest in visiting the Great Bath, Stupa, and D-K Area of Moenjodaro. They also inspected the historic car of Sir John Marshall. The artifacts on display at the Moenjodaro Museum drew the tourists’ attention. In honor of the tourists, a traditional dinner was arranged by the Sindh Department of Tourism and Culture.
Meanwhile, the Sindh Police has launched a crackdown on electricity theft in the province, with the revelation that a whopping Rs 30 million was being stolen from the feeder of the Charssada District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital every month. The National Economic Council (NEC) has approved four major development projects worth over Rs 240 billion.
