Pakistan International Bulk Terminal Limited (PIBT) and Riko Dik Mining Company (RDMC) have signed a significant agreement on handling and processing of copper and gold concentrates from the Riko Dik project at PIBT’s facility in Karachi. The partnership aims to ensure effective and reliable handling and processing of Pakistan’s mineral resources.
Under the terms of the agreement, PIBT has been designated as the primary handling and processing facility for Riko Dik’s mineral resources, which will further strengthen Pakistan’s position in the global commodity markets. The move is expected to boost Pakistan’s economy by creating jobs and generating revenue.
“We are proud to announce this long-term partnership between PIBT and RDMC,” said Sharique Azam Siddiqui, Chief Executive Officer of PIBT. “This collaboration is a testament to our commitment to providing world-class infrastructure and services to the mining industry in Pakistan.”
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has been embroiled in controversy after a leaked audio message allegedly featuring Secretary of Information Sheikh Waqas Akram surfaced. The PTI has since released Akram from his duties pending an investigation.
In other news, the French Embassy in Pakistan has congratulated Pakistan-based French newspaper vendor Ali Akbar on receiving an award. The embassy praised Akbar for his dedication to promoting French culture in Pakistan.
Additionally, former owner of the Multan Sultans cricket team, Ali Zardari, has been accused of making derogatory comments against cricketer Aamer Sohail. Zardari denied the allegations, stating that the comments were taken out of context.
Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Barrister Gohar, has released a statement addressing the leaked audio message controversy surrounding Sheikh Waqas Akram. The PTI has announced that Akram will be released from his duties pending an investigation.
