The Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Barrister Gohar, has stated that those who are attacking them will not engage in talks with them. During a media conversation in Rawalpindi, Barrister Gohar emphasized that terrorism should not be politicized, and that our internal conflicts will allow terrorists to gain the upper hand.
He stated that the protection of people’s lives and property is the responsibility of both the federal and provincial governments, and that the federal government had released a press statement denying the evacuation order in the Tirah Valley. A PTI member of the National Assembly was charged with inciting speech against state institutions and the constitution.
Barrister Gohar further emphasized that a press release was not necessary on this issue, and that everyone should get together and resolve their differences. He stated that those who are attacking them will not engage in talks with them, and that our internal conflicts will allow terrorists to gain the upper hand. He proposed forming a committee, convening the provincial assembly, and sending a clear message to the terrorists that Pakistan will not be intimidated.
The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Saeed Afridi, has written a formal letter to the Prime Minister of Pakistan on the constitutional necessity of federal funds payment. Barrister Gohar urged that those who can should hold talks and resolve their differences, and that he will not meet individually. He stated that there should be no politics in family meetings, and that he has been informed by the media that Imran Khan, the founder of PTI, is ill. He emphasized that a meeting with Imran Khan’s family is essential, and that he also wants to meet with his wife, Bushra Bibi, and the lawyers.
The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Saeed Afridi, stated that the decision to close the roads has caused widespread distress among the people. He emphasized that if talks are stopped by February 8, will politics come to an end on February 9? He further asked if there will be no new Pakistan, or will the old one return, or will the hybrid system work? He stated that Pakistan is in reverse gear.
Barrister Gohar stated that as long as the people do not respect you, all the laws and constitutional amendments you make will be of no use. He emphasized that he is bound by Imran Khan’s orders, and that Imran Khan has given a mandate to Mahmood Khan Achakzai and Alama Rajah Nisar, whose team is now complete.
