Karachi’s Sessions Court Rejects Bail Request for Minor’s Abduction and Murder Accused
A sessions court in Karachi has rejected the bail request of a suspect accused of kidnapping and murdering a minor. The case was heard in the sessions court’s southern branch, where the judge made the decision after reviewing the evidence presented by the prosecution.
The judge observed that the CCTV footage available was unclear, but other evidence in the case supported the prosecution’s stance. The defense counsel for the accused argued that the case was delayed for two days, but the prosecution countered that it was a normal delay since the father was searching for his child.
The prosecution further stated that the investigation made progress after the accused’s revelations, and despite being deaf and mute, the accused could provide statements through an interpreter. However, the court observed that the case was of a serious nature and carried a heavy penalty, and the accused’s release could compromise the evidence in the case.
The accused was booked in September 2025 in a case of kidnapping and murder of the minor at the Defence Police Station. The case has been under investigation, and the accused’s involvement was revealed through the investigation.
