A brazen dacoity incident unfolded in Karachi’s Jheel Chorangi area when robbers, riding motorbikes, stole Rs 62 lakh from a citizen. The incident took a deadly turn when the robbers fired at the citizen, resulting in the death of 25-year-old Waqar Ahmed. The police stated that the citizen had withdrawn the money from a bank in Kharadar and was paying for parking when the robbers approached and snatched the cash.
In a statement, MQM-P leader Mustafa Kamal questioned the Sindh government’s ability to tackle corruption and crime in the province. “Every Punjab chief minister has made Lahore shine, but the Sindh chief minister has failed to make Karachi shine,” he said. “We have lost hope in the Peoples Party, and we wonder if there’s no corruption and bribery in this system?”
