During this spring break, the Fort Worth Zoo surpassed its previous attendance record, attributing its success to the recent birth of numerous baby animals.
Breaking the previous single-day attendance record set in 2013, the zoo welcomed 26,433 guests on Wednesday.
Zoo management credits the surge in visitors to several factors, including the opening of the Predators of Asia & Africa big cat habitat in summer 2023 and the half-price admission discount offered on Wednesdays.
Traditionally, spring break is the busiest week of the year for the Fort Worth Zoo, with the local community’s steadfast support being a key factor in its continued success.
“We are, once again, grateful to the families in North Texas for their support,” expressed Michael Fouraker, the Fort Worth Zoo executive director.
Regular admission rates are $20 for adults, $16 for children aged 3 to 12, and free for toddlers under 2, with seniors priced at $16. Additionally, admission is always half-price on Wednesdays, and the zoo remains open 365 days a year.
