Legacy West in Plano is renowned for its array of favorite brands and outdoor dining options, making it a sought-after destination. Soon, Frisco will have its own equivalent.
Describing the dynamic, Fehmi Karahan, CEO of Karahan Companies, likened Legacy West to the older sister, while Fields West in Frisco represents the younger sibling.
Positioned near Panther Creek Parkway along the Dallas North Tollway, Fields West is part of the expansive 2,500-acre Fields Development currently undergoing construction.
It bears a resemblance to Legacy West but on a grander scale, with its mixed-use component being notably larger.
Karahan, known for spearheading the successful Legacy West, has shifted focus to Frisco for this venture.
Fields West, spanning 55 acres, will evolve into an urban village featuring two hotels, retail outlets, restaurants, and even an amphitheater, offering a glimpse into the future of modern work and lifestyle.
However, Fields West is just a portion of the comprehensive Fields development, which includes the University of North Texas Frisco campus and the PGA of America, alongside approximately 400 residences, a resort, and numerous lakes.
Mayor Jeff Cheney emphasizes that Fields represents Frisco’s largest and most significant zoning case, embodying the city’s forward-thinking vision amidst its burgeoning growth.
Groundbreaking for Fields West is slated for later this year, with the initial phase anticipated to open in the Fall of 2026.
