Authorities are asking the public’s help to find a man who may have information related to the fatal shooting of a woman in Arlington last year, police said.
About 5 p.m. Sept. 25, officers were dispatched to a shooting call in the 1700 block of Sherry Street, where they found 24-year-old Jamiya Strong shot multiple times, according to police.
Strong was lying on the ground near a dark-colored pickup, police had said. She died at a hospital, the Tarrant County medical examiner’s website showed.
In a Tuesday social media post, Arlington police said they’re looking for Juan Angel Fraire, 20, who could have information related to the fatal shooting. Police described him as a “person of interest.”
Shortly after the shooting, police said “high risk activity” could have been involved.Anyone with information related to the man’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Arlington Police Department by calling 817-459-5739 or 817-274-4444.
