A pedestrian was struck and killed while trying to walk across Interstate 35 early Monday morning, according to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department.
Authorities were called about 1:50 a.m. to I-35 near Market Center. A pedestrian tried crossing the roadway when they were struck by a car, authorities said.
All lanes of the interstate were closed for several hours while the crash was being investigated. The interstate was reopened around 5:30 a.m.
The pedestrian has not immediately been identified.
