Accidents involving at least 24 vehicles on Interstate 30 near Ferguson Road in eastern Dallas caused all eastbound lanes of the highway to close Saturday morning, according to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department.
Cars crashed along two sections of I-30, officials said. The accidents are believed to have been caused by slick roadways from early-morning rain.
Five people were taken to hospitals with injuries that weren’t considered life-threatening.
The highway had been cleared and all lanes were reopened early Saturday afternoon.
