Authorities took a person into custody Monday evening in connection with a road-rage-related shooting near Lake Worth, according to police.
Shortly after 8:45 p.m., Fort Worth police officers were dispatched to the 6800 block of northwest Loop 820 to assist Lake Worth authorities’ response to a crash involving a person who was shot, according to a Monday evening news release.
No one required medical treatment as a result of the shooting or the crash, according to Fort Worth police.
A man who was involved in a road-rage incident, police said, told authorities he got into an argument with someone at BoomerJack’s Grill, which is located close to where the crash occurred.
The person who fired at the man’s vehicle drove away, but was taken into custody “at a nearby location” Fort Worth police said in a news release.
Lake Worth police tweeted shortly after 9 p.m. that “two suspects,” at least one of whom was armed, had been apprehended in the 7000 block of Navajo Trail.
Fort Worth police are investigating the incident.
