HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A weak front moved through Saturday bringing slightly cooler and drier air with it. It also helped to usher out much of the fog although we still are seeing fog near the coast.
Temperatures are starting out in the 50s and will climb into the upper 60s and low 70s this afternoon. We’ll see mostly cloudy skies today with a chance for a few brief sprinkles. Fog could also move back in especially in the evening as a warm front moves north.
How long will the warm air and sea fog stick around?
Most of next week should be on the warm, humid side for December standards. We predict a few days with highs in the low 80s and lows only around 70. Stronger winds should keep the sea fog from getting too dense, but the sea fog will be around for much of the work week. It won’t be until next weekend that we cool off again and push the sea fog back into the Gulf of Mexico.
