HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Saturday’s soggy weather is causing road trouble after multiple crashes were reported in the morning, two of which were deadly.
Car hydroplanes on Clay Road
Cy-Fair Fire Department crews responded to the 19500 block of Clay Road, where a vehicle hydroplaned into a tree at 3:44 p.m.
According to HCSO, the driver was safely extracted and taken to the hospital via Life Flight to a nearby hospital.
Officials warn drivers to slow down while traveling on Saturday as the rain continues.


Fatal crash on N. Freeway at North Main
Houston TranStar verified a fatal two-vehicle crash on Saturday at 6:32 a.m. on the North Freeway at North Main.
All southbound lanes are open after being closed for hours due to the wreck, according to the Houston Police Department.
It is unclear what exactly led to the accident.

Fatal crash on I-610 at Clinton Drive
Houston police confirmed one person was killed, and another went to the hospital from a wreck on the East Loop at Clinton Drive.
At about 7:30 a.m., two vehicles crashed on the northbound lanes of I-610, according to police.
All lanes have been re-opened as crews worked to clear the scene of the wreck.

Major incident at I-45 N and Cypresswood Drive
The Texas Department of Transportation reported another incident Saturday morning at Cypresswood Drive with multiple mainlanes being blocked.
