HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Another cold front is on the way to Houston, and this one will bring widespread rain behind it as the weekend begins.
Light rain showers will move through our area this evening and overnight. Keep a jacket handy as temps fall into the upper 40s.
These rain showers will increase in coverage and intensity as we move into Saturday morning.
How bad does the weather look for the weekend?
Widespread rain is guaranteed on Saturday, but no flooding is expected. It will feel miserable outside in the rain with temperatures in the 40s all day. Factor in the wind and it will feel like its in the 30s at times. The rain will clear out for Sunday, but the clouds will linger. Sunday morning’s temps will dip into the mid 40s. Highs will only warm into the 50s.
Is Monday going to be another wet, cold day?
Absolutely. It’ll be hard to tell the difference between Saturday and Monday. Expect rain off and on throughout the day with temperatures holding steady in the 40s.
What’s the outlook for Thanksgiving?
Right now it’s difficult to nail down the details for Thanksgiving. Another storm system will be pushing through the country, but we’re not sure if will pass through on Wednesday or on Thanksgiving Day. For now we’ve reintroduced a 30% chance of rain and dropped highs into the 60s. We’ll refine the details once we get a better handle on the timing of that storm system.
