Police are investigating a hit-and-run in northwest Dallas that killed a 82-year-old woman and left a teen in the hospital in serious condition Monday.
Shortly after 11 a.m., a gray-colored 2005 Toyota Avalon that was eastbound in the middle lane near the 3900 block of Royal Lane struck a gray Honda Accord that was at a stop sign at the intersection of Rosser Road and Royal Lane, according to police.
A 82-year-old woman, whose name has not been made public, was inside the Honda Accord, police said. The woman later died at the hospital, according to police.
People who witnessed the crash said that three people — described to police as a teen and two “young females” — ran away from the location. A 13-year-old girl was in the front right passenger seat of the suspect vehicle. She was taken to a medical facility and is in “serious condition,” police said.
No further information was made available Monday evening.
