The US dollar rate in Pakistan decreased further by Re0.14 (14 paisa) against the Pakistani rupee to Rs278.71 in the interbank market on January 17, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
However, according to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the dollar in the open market stood at Rs279.50 and Rs281, respectively.
The price of the Euro decreased by 16 paisa, closing at Rs286.97 against the previous day’s closing of Rs287.13.
The Japanese yen rose by 1 paisa, closing at Rs1.79, while the British Pound saw a decline of 9 paisa, trading at Rs339.84 compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs340.74.
The exchange rates of the Emirates Dirham and the Saudi Riyal decreased by 3 and 4 paisa, closing at Rs75.88 and Rs74.28, respectively.
