In a significant gesture of goodwill, UAE Consul General Dr. Bakheet Ateeq Al-Rumaithi visited the Sukkur district council, announcing free visas for all council members.
The visit was marked by warmth and appreciation, as Dr. Al-Rumaithi praised the district’s impressive illumination on UAE National Day. Highlighting the strong ties between Pakistan and the UAE, he noted that their relationship is built on mutual respect. He also acknowledged the contributions of over two million Pakistanis living in the UAE, calling them an intelligent and resourceful nation.
Dr. Al-Rumaithi encouraged Pakistanis to use the UAE’s largest visa center in Karachi for accurate information instead of relying on intermediaries.
Development Projects for Sukkur
The consul general announced plans to establish a women’s and children’s hospital in Sukkur, emphasizing the UAE’s commitment to women’s empowerment. He highlighted a Pakistani woman’s senior role in the UAE healthcare sector as an example of their appreciation for Pakistani talent.
Scholarships and Infrastructure
During his visit, Dr. Al-Rumaithi and Sukkur District Council Chairman Syed Kumail Haider Shah signed MOUs for scholarships and infrastructure projects. The UAE will provide scholarships to 10 students from Sukkur for higher education and construct the Sukkur Tower Monument.
