Pakistani-American oil tycoon Syed Javed Anwar invited to Trump’s inauguration, with the Texas Governor also accompanying him on his private jet to Washington.

Texas:Leaders from around the world, especially from third-world countries, are eager to attend the inauguration of newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump. However, a few Pakistani-American personalities in the U.S. have received special invitations from Trump. Among them is Texas-based Republican leader and prominent oil tycoon Syed Javed Anwar, who has been personally invited to the inauguration ceremony.
When Geo/Jang contacted Syed Javed Anwar for confirmation, he affirmed that he had received a special invitation from the President-elect and would be attending the event in Washington. According to further details, Syed Javed Anwar plans to attend the ceremony with his close friend, Texas Governor Greg Abbott, and they will travel together in Anwar’s private jet.
Syed Javed Anwar, a Pakistani-American, is a major figure in the U.S. oil industry and has been associated with the Republican Party for many years. He is also a close friend of the Bush family, including both George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush. This close relationship is highlighted by the fact that former President George W. Bush included Anwar’s portrait in his series Out of Many, One: Portraits of America’s Immigrants, which Bush himself painted.
Anwar is known for his philanthropic efforts, donating millions of dollars to charitable causes in Pakistan and providing approximately $7 million annually to the University of Texas. He is affectionately referred to as the “Sheikh of Texas” due to his generosity. Besides his charitable work, Anwar is actively involved in politics and contributed $2 million to Trump’s 2024 election campaign. His name commands great respect within Trump’s team, reflecting the high regard in which he is held.
It is also noteworthy that Syed Javed Anwar has maintained close ties with former Army Chief and President Pervez Musharraf.
