American actress Jessica Alba has hired a divorce attorney amid her separation from husband Cash Warren, as reported by People.
Following the announcement of their separation, the news outlet reported that the couple remains “friends and focused on the kids.”
In recent weeks, both have been seen without their wedding rings, although they presented a united front to celebrate their son Hayes’ seventh birthday earlier in January.
“16 years of marriage, 20 years together, and forever to go,” the actress said in an Instagram post in May 2024.
She added, “I’m proud of us for making it this far. No set of rules or guidance can ever prepare you for what it means to commit to another person and choose to be family.”
She further said, “Through thick and thin, we have continually found our way back to each other and have chosen one another. Cheers to us, I love you.”
Alba and Warren first met in Vancouver in 2004 while filming Fantastic Four, where Alba played Sue Storm and Warren worked as a director’s assistant.
Alba (43) and Warren (45) married in May 2008 and have three children: daughters Honor (16) and Haven (13), and son Hayes (7).
