The Punjab government has introduced a new speed limit of 60 kilometers per hour for motorcycles, aiming to curb road accidents and enhance public safety.

Punjab’s Information Minister Azma Bukhari announced the decision, emphasizing that the rising number of accidents and fatalities on roads was largely due to excessive speed. She stated that this new speed limit would be strictly enforced to ensure the safety of the public.
Step Towards Eco-friendly Transport
Azma Bukhari further highlighted the government’s efforts to promote eco-friendly transportation, announcing the expected arrival of the first batch of 28 electric vehicles in Lahore within two to three days. This initiative is seen as a significant step towards promoting sustainable transport options in the province.
