Karachi: In preparation for the 13th of Rajab procession marking the birth anniversary of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (A.S), Karachi Traffic Police has issued a detailed diversion plan to ensure the safety and smooth movement of vehicles.
Key Road Closures and Alternate Routes
- The main procession will begin at Tibet Centre and end at Soldier Bazar, resulting in road closures along the procession route for security reasons.
- MA Jinnah Road, from Tibet Centre to Guru Mandir, will be closed, along with surrounding streets.
Key Diversions:
- Sharea Quaideen: Closed from Khudadad Signal; however, the bridge connecting Khudadad Signal to Saddar will remain open.
- Bahadur Yar Jang Road: Commuters are advised to take alternate routes via Soldier Bazar No 1 Signal, Coast Guard, and Anklesaria Hospital Signal.
- Fresco to Naumaish Chowrangi: The Eidgah Chowk route is recommended, proceeding through the post office to Jubilee and Nishtar Road.
- Traffic from Paradise Signal: Can either go left towards Passport Office or right towards Empress Market.
- Garden Baghicha to Aga Khan Third Road: Follow the route from Anklesaria to Gul Plaza and then to Tibet Chowk.
