Wamiqa Gabbi has been gaining significant attention for her performances in both Hindi and regional cinema. Recently, reports suggest that she will share the screen with Ranveer Singh in a superhero film based on the iconic Indian superhero Shaktimaan.
According to Mid-Day, Wamiqa Gabbi is being considered as a leading contender for the role in director Basil Joseph’s upcoming superhero film, which stars Ranveer Singh. The film is a Bollywood adaptation of Shaktimaan, one of India’s most iconic superheroes.
Sources close to the project revealed that Wamiqa Gabbi is attracting attention due to her versatile performances, and she may also sign a Telugu project with actor Nani. Although the official announcement has not been made, the film is in its early stages with pre-production currently underway.
The source further added that despite Basil Joseph’s limited Hindi proficiency, he has been conducting script readings and meetings with Ranveer Singh in Mumbai. The project has been in the works for over five years and is expected to begin shooting in May 2025, with the film scheduled for release in 2026.
