“Being Popular Doesn’t Mean You’re Above Everything Else,” Vawda Tells Khan
Former PTI minister and independent Senator Faisal Vawda described the £190 million case as an “open-and-shut case,” claiming that Imran Khan’s conviction was “writing on the wall.” He further stated that the PTI founder committed a crime and would face punishment.
Vawda criticized Khan for his actions and suggested that his popularity did not exempt him from consequences. He also implied that Khan’s close aides had conspired against him. Vawda praised the army’s sacrifices and emphasized that the “backdoor diplomacy” led by Army Chief General Asim Munir would benefit Pakistan’s future.
