In the last 24 hours, 258 Pakistanis were deported from seven countries, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and China. Among them, 14 held Pakistani passports, while 244 were repatriated on emergency travel documents.
Immigration officials reported that upon arrival in Karachi, 16 deportees, including one with a suspicious identity, were arrested, while the rest were released after interrogation.
Saudi Arabia deported 232 individuals, including seven beggars. Two individuals were repatriated after completing sentences for performing Hajj without permits. Another four overstayed their Umrah visas, 27 were working without sponsorship (kafeel), 16 overstayed their visas, 112 faced sponsor complaints, and 63 were deported on various other charges.
The UAE deported 21 individuals, including four involved in drug trafficking. One person each was deported from China, Qatar, Indonesia, Cyprus, and Nigeria.
Sixteen deportees from Nigeria and the UAE were listed on the FIA’s immigration stop list but were released after interrogation.
According to FIA, the number of deportations has been rising significantly.
In the last 24 hours, the FIA’s Immigration Cell at Karachi airport offloaded 35 passengers due to incomplete travel documents.
Passengers with Umrah visas were offloaded due to a lack of advance hotel bookings and insufficient funds. Those traveling on work visas to Saudi Arabia were stopped for not having proper documents. Similarly, passengers traveling on tourist visas to the UAE were offloaded due to inadequate bookings and funds.
One individual was barred from traveling to Malaysia due to the absence of a visa protector stamp and other essential documents. Authorities emphasized that travelers must ensure complete documentation, proper visas, advance bookings, and sufficient funds to avoid such incidents.
