A devastating wildfire in Los Angeles has forced many residents, including several high-profile Hollywood celebrities, to evacuate their homes.
The fire, fueled by strong winds and dry conditions, has consumed nearly 12,000 acres (4,856 hectares) of land, destroying hundreds of buildings, including homes belonging to Hollywood stars.
Paris Hilton’s beachfront mansion in Malibu, reportedly bought for $8.4 million, was one of the properties burned down. She expressed her heartbreak, saying, “Sitting with my family, watching the news, and seeing our home in Malibu burn to the ground on live TV is something no one should ever have to experience.”
Among the celebrities impacted by the fire were Jamie Lee Curtis, Mandy Moore, Maria Shriver, and others. They were among more than 100,000 people forced to evacuate their homes as the fires raged across some of the most desirable areas in Los Angeles.
The fires also caused significant damage to Pacific Palisades, home to many celebrities. Leighton Meester and Adam Brody’s home and Billy Crystal’s residence were among those destroyed.
The blaze has severely affected the entertainment industry, with TV shows like “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and “Grey’s Anatomy” halting production, and several film premieres being postponed.
Oscar-winning actress Jamie Lee Curtis shared her concerns on social media, writing, “My community and possibly my home is on fire. It is a terrifying situation.”
Mandy Moore also expressed her sadness, stating, “So gutted for the destruction and loss. Don’t know if our place made it.”
