Man from Kahror Pakka wanted to marry his cousin, says police spokesperson
LODHRAN: A young man filed a false report claiming his cousin was being forcibly married after finding out she was set to marry someone else, a police spokesperson revealed on Wednesday.
The police spokesperson stated: “The young man reported that the girl was being forcefully married.”
“The man, hailing from Kahror Pakka, wanted to marry his cousin,” the spokesperson added.
When the police arrived at the scene, they discovered that the marriage was taking place with the girl’s consent, according to the spokesperson.
Additionally, the police spokesperson mentioned that the young man called the police helpline 15 and provided a false report regarding the girl’s marriage.
Notably, the suspect has been arrested, and a case has been registered against him under the Telegraph Act, police confirmed.
