Jemima Goldsmith, the former wife of PTI founder Imran Khan, sustained injuries while hiking on Lion’s Head Mountain in Cape Town during her New Year vacation.
The British socialite humorously shared details of the incident on Instagram, writing:
“Festive break (pun intended) in Cape Town. Embracing the highs and the lows of 2025 (incredible views from the summit of Lion’s Head with friends & fam and then a tumble & an interminable hobble down in the dark). Happy New Year folks.”
She also wished her followers a happy new year, receiving heartfelt well-wishes for a speedy recovery.
Jemima shared scenic pictures of her mountain adventure, followed by a video of her on a stretcher being moved in a hospital. In another image, she stood with crutches, smiling despite her injury.
Lion’s Head, located between Table Mountain and Signal Hill in South Africa, is renowned for its breathtaking views, drawing hikers and nature enthusiasts. It stands at a height of 669 meters (2,195 ft).
