New Digital Skills Center Opens at Govt Boys High School Taus
The Pakistan Army, in partnership with the Special Communications Organization (SCO), has launched a freelancing hub at the Government Boys High School Taus in Gilgit-Baltistan, a key initiative to enhance digital education in the region.
School Principal Shaheen Beg stated that the facility caters to the evolving needs of the local youth by offering training in online business, freelancing, and digital marketing. The hub aims to benefit both students and the broader community, creating new employment opportunities within the digital economy.
“This freelancing hub will not only serve our students but will also be accessible to the wider community,” Principal Beg remarked. “It is a crucial step in preparing our youth for the future job market through digital skills training.”
This initiative highlights ongoing efforts to promote digital literacy and economic growth in remote areas of Gilgit-Baltistan. Principal Beg underscored the importance of such centers in the modern digital age, providing local youth with opportunities to connect with global employment markets.
The establishment of the hub aligns with national strategies to advance digital skills development and generate employment opportunities in Pakistan’s northern regions.
