According to details, citizens across Quetta were eager to purchase peanuts to add to the enjoyment of the cold weather.
Although icy winds were prevailing, the citizens had plans to make the most of the weather.
One citizen expressed his thoughts, saying, “For the poor segment of society, peanuts are no less valuable than almonds and chilgoza.”
The cold weather turned out to be a blessing for shopkeepers, as large numbers of people flocked to dry fruit shops.
One of the advantages of peanuts is that they are popular among all age groups.
Additionally, a few days ago, citizens found a great way to celebrate the cold weather by enjoying traditional sajji.
According to details, despite the frosty weather, people turned up at food streets with their loved ones to enjoy delicious sajji.
One shopkeeper explained the preparation method of sajji, saying, “The meat is roasted over coal to make juicy sajji.”
Mohammad Abid, who has been preparing sajji for the past 30 years, said, “Salty and delicious sajji is a tradition of Balochistan.”
