Pakistani law enforcement agencies have seized over 1,065 metric tons of narcotics and arrested 2,413 drug traffickers in nationwide operations since September 2023, official data reveals.
In the past week alone, authorities conducted multiple raids, seizing 3,246.285 kilograms of various drugs and apprehending 30 suspected traffickers across the country.
The recent operations uncovered the following quantities of narcotics:
- 87.714 kilograms of heroin
- 3,006.80 kilograms of hashish
- 27.332 kilograms of methamphetamine
- 124.150 kilograms of opium
- 0.289 kilograms of miscellaneous drugs
These efforts are part of an ongoing campaign to combat drug trafficking and dismantle distribution networks nationwide. Law enforcement agencies continue to conduct regular operations across all provinces to achieve the government’s goal of a drug-free society.
