The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration Unit arrested a notorious human trafficker, Amjad Ali, at Islamabad International Airport, the agency’s spokesperson confirmed.
Amjad Ali, wanted for human trafficking and visa fraud, had been on the FIA’s Red Book of most-wanted traffickers for 17 years. His name was also included on the stop list maintained by the agency.
According to the spokesperson, Ali was involved in visa fraud schemes and fled abroad after engaging in fraudulent activities. A case against him was registered in 2007 by the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Rawalpindi.
The accused, identified as a resident of Gujar Khan, was apprehended as part of the FIA’s intensified efforts to combat human trafficking in the country. Further investigations are underway.
