Canadian actor John Reardon recently updated his fans on his health through an emotional Instagram post, announcing his recovery from tonsil cancer. He shared two photos of himself, one of which showed him undergoing treatment in the hospital, offering a glimpse into his challenging journey.
“Long road between these two pictures, and the difference is from the love and support I received from the people in my life,” he wrote.
Reardon expressed his gratitude to his wife, actress Meghan Ory, for being there for him during his toughest days. In his heartfelt message, the I’ll Be Home for Christmas actor also thanked his “brave kids” and his father, recalling how his dad took him on walks when it was hard for him to get out of bed.
Reardon credited his mother for playing a crucial role in his recovery, providing him with soups, ginger honey tea, and green juices to ensure he got enough calories. He also acknowledged his siblings for stepping in to care for his children and handle the “challenges of life when I couldn’t.” Finally, the Make It Happen actor thanked his in-laws, who brought him food and cookies and uplifted his spirits on the days he felt low.
The actor praised the hospital staff, including the technicians, nurses, and psychologists, calling them his heroes.
