Military courts have sentenced 60 more individuals, including Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan’s nephew Hassan Khan Niazi, in connection with the May 9 riots.
The Field General Court Martial delivered the verdict after considering all evidence and ensuring legal rights. According to a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), all convicts have been granted the right to appeal.

- Hassan Khan Niazi — 10 years rigorous imprisonment, involved in the Jinnah House incident
- Mian Abad Farooq — 2 years rigorous imprisonment, involved in the Jinnah House incident
- Rai Ahmed — 6 years rigorous imprisonment, involved in the Jinnah House incident
- Arzaam Junaid — 6 years rigorous imprisonment, involved in the Jinnah House incident
- Ali Raza — 6 years rigorous imprisonment, involved in the Jinnah House incident
- Raja Danish — 4 years rigorous imprisonment, involved in the GHQ attack
- Syed Hassan Shah — 9 years rigorous imprisonment, involved in the GHQ attack
- Ali Hussain — 7 years rigorous imprisonment, involved in the AIMH Rawalpindi attack
- Zubair Khan — 2 years rigorous imprisonment, involved in the PRC Mardan incident
- Sohraab Khan — 4 years rigorous imprisonment, involved in the HQ Dir Scouts Timergara incident
Military courts have sentenced individuals involved in the May 9 riots, including attacks on state installations such as GHQ, Lahore Corps Commander’s House, and others.
Previously, on December 21, military courts had sentenced 25 civilians to prison terms ranging from two to ten years for their involvement in attacks on military installations.
National security expert Syed Muhammad Ali stated that the decisions of military courts were not rushed but were made following a thorough legal process.
