Vivek Oberoi recently shared insights into some career decisions and personal beliefs. He discussed rejecting key films like ‘Munna Bhai MBBS,’ ‘Hum Tum,’ and ‘Om Shanti Om.’
In an honest interview with MensXP, the actor revealed that he chose to work on Shootout at Lokhandwala instead of taking roles in those films. Oberoi explained that the schedules for Shootout at Lokhandwala and Om Shanti Om conflicted, both featuring negative roles. However, he felt a deep connection with the gangster character in Shootout at Lokhandwala. “I prepared for 4-5 months for this role, met with police officers, and read crime records. Switching roles during preparation would have been a challenge,” he shared.
Although he acknowledged that working with Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in Om Shanti Om would have been incredible, he emphasized the importance of thorough research and immersing himself in the character. On a personal level, Vivek expressed his views on love and marriage, stating his belief that “it’s either exclusive or nothing,” and rejected the concept of an open marriage.
With a busy year ahead, Vivek promises to bring a new entertaining chapter with Aftab Shivdasani and Riteish Deshmukh in Masti 4.
