Resumption of Pak-Afghan Diplomatic Relations

After nearly a year-long hiatus, diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan have resumed. Pakistan’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, Mohammad Sadiq, met with senior officials of the Afghan interim government in Kabul. The discussions focused on bilateral relations, trade ties, and regional peace. Pakistan emphasized the need for effective action against the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) to prevent cross-border terrorism. Additionally, the Pakistani delegation engaged with Afghan traders to enhance bilateral trade. This development is significant for strengthening relations between the two countries and promoting stability in the region.
