Reports have emerged of over 100 child deaths in Parachinar due to a lack of medical facilities caused by prolonged road blockades.
The blockade, ongoing for more than two months, has led to severe shortages of food and medicine, prompting continuous protests from local residents. High-ranking government officials have dismissed these reports as baseless, asserting that essential medicines are being supplied to the area.
The government has approved the deployment of a special police force to secure the roads and has initiated a Grand Jirga to resolve the tribal conflict. However, locals contend that the road closures have deprived them of access to basic necessities, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis.
