The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) organized a significant event in London to celebrate the birthday of former Prime Minister and party leader Nawaz Sharif. The event was organized by businessman and PML-N UK President Ahsan Dar, with nearly 1,000 supporters in attendance.
This was the largest event PML-N has held in several years, with Defence Minister Khawaja Asif serving as the chief guest, who flew to London specifically for the occasion. Attendees included party workers from various parts of the UK and some from Europe.
During the event, cakes were cut to celebrate the birthdays of Nawaz Sharif and Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, along with marking Christmas festivities. Ahsan Dar remarked: “This is a record turnout. More than 1,000 people attended Nawaz Sharif’s birthday party to show solidarity and love for our leader. Many more could not find space inside the venue and returned. A lot more wanted to come, but we told them there was limited space available.”
Defence Minister Khawaja Asif took the opportunity to criticize former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his “politics of negativity.”
