The Government of Pakistan has agreed to consult former Prime Minister Imran Khan following a demand from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). Senator Irfan Siddiqui, a member of the government’s negotiation committee, confirmed this decision, stating that the PTI team has expressed a desire to meet with Imran Khan, which the government has accepted. Senator Siddiqui clarified that the government does not interfere in judicial matters, and the current negotiations are unrelated to the judiciary. He added that the government will consider PTI’s proposals, with the next meeting scheduled for January 2. Additionally, Majlis-e-Wahdat-ul-Muslimeen (MWM) Chairman Senator Raja Nasir Abbas described PTI’s formation of a negotiation committee as a positive step and urged the government to take advantage of this process. He emphasized the importance of arranging a meeting between PTI’s committee and Imran Khan to advance the negotiations. This negotiation process is crucial for reducing political tensions and strengthening the democratic process in the country.
