Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi reiterated the board’s firm commitment to hosting the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan during the Board of Governors (BoG) meeting held in Islamabad. Naqvi assured that the nation is fully prepared for the event, emphasizing the immense significance it holds for Pakistan’s cricketing future.
He stressed the importance of maintaining the event’s prestige and ensuring its successful execution. “We will leave no stone unturned in preserving the event’s honor,” Naqvi said, highlighting the country’s readiness to host the tournament with world-class facilities. The meeting also discussed the ongoing upgrades to stadiums in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi to meet international standards.
Naqvi also reiterated that cricket should remain apolitical, aiming to promote the sport’s universal appeal and unity.
